We were required to manufacture a ploughshare mixer capable of handling up to 2T per hour of animal waste, ground, by-products (fat, bones, etc.) in the form of light flour, into which liquid additives need to be incorporated.
The mixer needs to process materials to a high degree of particle distribution, properly incorporating the liquids, and breaking down any lumps formed in the process. The choice fell on a KBC batch ploughshare mixer type KB1PC01300DD, in the following configuration:
- mild steel construction
- 2 off. liquid ports
- inlets/vent built to customer specs
- 1 off. electropneumatic discharge trap-door, flush with mixing drum
- 3 off. high-speed refiners, blade-type tools, in HB500 wear-resistant steel
- Plough tools and scrapers, in HB500 wear-resistant steel
- 2 off. large inspection doors
- Direct drive, with bevel gearbox for minimum footprint, accordingly sized for the process
