Our customer required a 3-ton batch mixer to homogeneously blend base materials (sand, cement) with special additives, in order to produce grouts and adhesives.
After examining closely the customer’s requirement, we supplied a KBC2500 ploughshare mixer, with the following configuration:
- mild steel construction
- plough tools in wear-resistant steel (HB400) with WC wear-resistant welded coating on tips
- main solid extractable rotor shaft in mild steel
- three inlets, to customer specs
- two large inspection doors for quick and easy access to the mixing drum
- 1 central discharge, electro-pneumatically operated, completely flush with the drum (no dead zones)
- greased seals, with stuffing
- separate drive, with flexible pin coupling (installed power: 55 kW)
- 3 refiner flanges, to enable the customer to retrofit refiners at a later stage, if required
- 1 pneumatic panel, to automatically distribute compressed air to all air-driven appliances
