We were approached by an important company operating in the building industry and producing a large variety of building materials. Among them, some included very coarse, heavy and abrasive materials within the recipes.
As part of the brand new production line, the mixer had to be top spec-ed and high performance (40 T/h the desired throughput). It was decided that a total bomb door discharge (60°) was the first, most important requirement, to speed up operations and reduce residue as much as possible. Due to the heavy duty of the unit and the nature of the products handled, a hydraulic version needed to be adopted.
The mixer was supplied with the following configuration:
- mild steel construction
- HB500 internal liner, bolted, in panels, all individually replaceable
- HB500 blade-type tools, with WC coating on the edges
- 5 inlets + 1 vent port
- 1 inspection door
- 1 total discharge bomb door, 60°, hydraulically operated
- 3 high-speed refiners, with tulip tool and total WC coating
- 1 pneumatic sampling device
- greased main shaft seals
- main shaft revolution counter
- in line drive, 55 kW, with fluid coupling and flexible pin coupling
