The Challenge
For a major overseas client operating in the mining sector, we were commissioned to supply a continuous ploughshare mixing station capable of handling a throughput of 200 tonnes per hour.
The solution must receive highly non-homogenous, highly abrasive materials with a high moisture content. These residual soils and sludges are blended with cement powders and large volumes of water to form a paste used to backfill mining excavations.
The configuration includes an integrated, safety-compliant walkway platform built over the top of the mixing drum, giving operators secure access to the custom-positioned rectangular inlet built to drawing and the conveyor connection chute.
Furthermore, a dual discharge outlet equipped with a diverter valve is required to feed multiple discharge points, alongside three inspection doors. The system must also feature a precision torquemeter integrated into the drive train.
