This page describes the use of cookies, Local Storage, and similar technologies on the international website of MC² S.r.l., in compliance with Art. 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and the guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies are small text files that a website can send to the user's device and read during subsequent visits. Similar technologies, such as browser Local Storage, allow information to be stored on the device without using a traditional cookie.
These tools can be technical, when they are necessary for the operation of the website or for a choice requested by the user, or non-technical, when they are used, for example, for non-anonymized analytics, advertising, or profiling.
2. Tools Used Directly by MC²
The website does not use its own profiling, advertising, or analytics cookies. It exclusively stores the choice regarding the closure of the cookie notice.
| Name | Type and Owner | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
mc2_cookie_notice_ack |
First-party Local Storage (MC²) | To remember the closure of the notice and avoid displaying it again on every page. | Until the manual deletion of website data from the browser. |
The systems hosting the website may also generate technical connection logs necessary for security, diagnosis, and operation. Server logs are not cookies stored in the browser; their processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Third-Party Services and Resources
Some pages request resources from external providers. During the connection, the browser normally communicates technical data such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, and HTTP headers. The processing carried out by the provider is governed by its own privacy policy.
| Service | Use on the Website | Main Information |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts | Typography fonts distribution. | According to Google, the Google Fonts API does not set cookies; however, the request transmits technical connection data. |
| cdnjs / Cloudflare | Font Awesome icons distribution. | The content delivery network receives the technical data necessary to provide the requested resource. |
| Google Maps | Embedded maps on the Contact page. | When the map is loaded, Google receives technical data and may use cookies or other identifiers according to its own terms and settings. |
| LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube | Simple links to MC² profiles. | There are no embedded social widgets; the connection to the provider occurs only when the user selects the respective link. |
For Google services, you can consult the Google Privacy Policy. For cdnjs, the Cloudflare Privacy Policy is available.
4. Consent and Preferences
The first-party tool indicated above serves solely to store a choice requested by the user and is not employed for profiling or advertising. Prior consent is not required for this technical use.
If MC² introduces non-technical cookies or tools in the future, these will be activated only after collecting consent, where required, and controls will be made available to express, modify, or revoke preferences.
5. How to Manage or Delete Data
Users can delete the value stored by MC² by clearing cookies and site data within their browser settings. They can also block or delete cookies and manage website permissions by following the instructions provided by their specific browser.
The indiscriminate deactivation of technical tools may prevent the website from remembering certain preferences. The settings of third-party services must also be managed through the controls made available by their respective providers.
6. Data Controller and Contact Information
The Data Controller is MC² S.r.l., with registered office at Via S. Domenico, 7 – 40124 Bologna, VAT no. IT02915371203.
For information regarding the use of cookies and similar technologies, you may write to info@mc2-srl.com. For the processing of personal data and the exercise of the data subject's rights, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
7. Updates
This Cookie Policy may be modified to reflect regulatory or technical updates. The version published on this page replaces previous ones; the date of the last update is indicated at the beginning of the document.
